This league is for 7th and 8th Grade Club level teams as well as (NEW THIS YEAR) 7th and 8th School Based Teams.

Team Formation:

• All teams are coach formed teams registered by the coach or team representative on the HYL Sports Engine registration site.
• 7th and 8th Grade School teams will also need to be coached formed and coach registered, not individually registered.

Games:

• 10 Total Games (8 x regular season games and 2 x Final Four games)
• All 7th and 8th teams will play on Saturdays at the Warehouse Sports Facility and at local middle schools.

Practices: Scheduled by coaches.

Divisions: The league will be divided into 8 different divisions (4 x girls divisions and 4 x boys divisions) formed based on skill level to provide the most competitive games each week. Below are the divisions and the preliminary criteria for each:

• 8th Grade Gold Division - (Most
  competitive division) For 8th Grade Club teams or 7th Grade Club teams playing up.
• 8th Grade Silver Division - For
  8th Grade School teams, Intermediate 8th Grade Club teams, and any 7th Grade Club playing up.
• 7th Grade Gold Division - For 7th Grade Club teams.
• 7th Grade Silver Division - For 7th Grade School teams, intermediate 7th Grade Club teams, and any 6th Grade Club team playing up.

HYL will work with coaches and use past seasons results and coaches to place teams in the appropriate division.

Teams may play up in age group, but not down. School teams and Club teams can be placed in the same division if they are competitively match.

The goal is to provide the most competitive basketball experience for each team.
