What is Tournament season?

HYL and Spokane AAU have updated to a longer tournament season. The goal is to expand local and affordable playing opportunities for any team (HYL, AAU, club, etc) to increase the number of total games played in a variety of formats. Establishing and growing a tournament season brings an immediate benefit to the competitive teams that historically played AAU and to the newly formed HYL teams.

All tournaments are team registrations. Coaches must form teams prior to registering.

Santa Slammer Winter Classic

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED AS WE HAVE REACHED CAPACITY FOR THE TOURNAMENT.

Registration opens: November 5th, 2024

Guaranteed deadline: December 2nd, 2024 (unless it fills prior to date listed)

Grades: 3rd - 8th grade.

HYL Teams in the 3rd-6th grade competitive division may register as a team.

Cost: $450 (per team)

Please note:

  • There is no charged gate fee. You may attend any game at any facility throughout the weekend.
  • This tournament is a qualifier for the Washington State Championship scheduled for March 2025.
  • A player may play up a grade level but cannot play below his or her grade level.
  • A player may be rostered on one team for the tournament.
