The Tournament Recap + The League Preview
Thanks to all the teams that participated in our 1st Annual Hooptown USA Tournament. We had 12 teams participate with guys from all over Washington and Montana. To Be Determined took home the 1st place prize of $5,000 cash and Ball Don’t Lie was the runner-up. We hope to build off the momentum and have more future adult tournaments with more teams and an even higher cash prize.
Tournament Results
Up next is our first spring league season starting in less than a month! Teams will compete in 8 weeks of play on Tuesday and Thursday nights at The Warehouse from March through May. The league will feature:
- 7 Divisions: Men’s & Women’s Recreational, Competitive, and Elite + a Co-Ed and 60+ division
- Single-Elimination Playoffs
- League MVP and Championship Prizes
- Elam Ending for all games like they use for TBT and in the NBA All-Star Game
All games will be refereed by 3 Certified Spokane Basketball Officials Association (SBO) officials. Hooptown will provide a Scoreclock Operator and Stat Keeper, who will track and post full team, individual, and league leader stats. Stats posted will include PTS, REB, AST, STL, BLK, FG%, 3P%, FT%, shooting charts, and more. Entry is $625 per team. All players must be 18 years or older.
All League teams are required to have reversible jerseys with numbers on the front and back. We have worked with a local printer to create a low-cost jersey option that meets the requirements.
